Statement of
seven witnesses living in Jena Forst
At about eight this morning the security came to knock on the room of
Constance Etchu from Cameroon to remind her about her transfer to Gera
this morning. She told the security that she is not going to Gera because
Gera is full of Nazis. She had gone there on the 12th of February to
see the place for herself and she came back to tell others about the
condition of the heim. The heim is good, but she is afraid because her
life is not safe in Gera. Gera is full of Nazis. She would prefer another
heim to Gera. Then the chief of the security took her to the social
to sign the transfer list but she refused signing it. So they signed
it for her. They came back to the room with Constance to force her to
take her things away from the room. She refused. And they said now that
she had refused they would call the police. And she said to them for
her to go with the police is better than to go to Gera.
The security man knocked on the door of room 207 and told the people
there, Branco and Francois, to talk to Constance to go to Gera. If not
police would come and arrest her. So they went to see her and tell her
what the security man had said. She said again that she doesn’t want
to go to Gera because of the Nazis and that she preferred to go anywhere
where there are no Nazis. The two went out of Constance’s room and told
the chief of the security that she doesn’t want to go to Gera. So the
security man said he would call the police. Only ten minutes after one
criminal police man (without uniform but with a gun) and Frau Krüger
came and took her out of the room and brought her to the security office.
They locked her inside for about 20 minutes. Then the police came in
uniform with a police car. They were two men and one woman.
While Constance had been in the security office one tall man of the
social went to her room and put her handbag with the handy and the camera
inside and her jacket into a big blue plastic bag. The Security put
the bag in one of the buses where there were other white refugees inside.
Fifteen minutes after their arrival the police went into the security
office. They twisted the arms of Constance and handcuffed her hands
behind her back. They opened the gate and forced her to enter the security
bus. She refused. The two police men, the police woman and one security
man started beating her to force her into the bus. She blocked by putting
one of her legs under the bus and she finally fell down under the bus.
While she was lying on the floor with one leg under the bus, one police
man stepped his foot on her face. They were trying to pull her out forcefully.
The police and the security spat on her and kicked her head.
One of women in the heim who watched the brutalization of Constance
by the police and the security men was crying because of the pain Constance
was receiving. The security men called her and the other refugees around
„Arschloch“ and „Penner“ „fuck you“, „black monkeys“ and they told us
that we in Africa we were living in the forest. To one of us one security
man showed a „fuck finger“ in the direction of the anus.
After, three security and one policeman used their force to bend Constance
and carry her into the police car. They hit her head a few times with
their fists to bend her head down to force her into the small police
car. During all the maltreatment Constance was still handcuffed on her
back.
After lying on the floor her body was soaked with mud because of the
rain. Because of that the police had to spread nylon bags on the seat
in order not to stain the seats in the police car. After that the police
car drove Constance away. The bus with her bag and and the white colour
refugees also drove away.
To us left behind the security spoke in English and threatened to maltreat
us.
We have therefore decided to protest
the police conspiracy with the Jena Forest security and the internal
administration of Frau Krüger for the maltreatment and brutalization
of Constance Etchu.
We protest the daily maltreatment and brutalization of refugees in Jena
Forest.
We protest the daily discrimination of refugees especially of the black
colour refugees.
We protest the daily racist treatment against the black refugees.
We protest in general the isolation and the social exclusion of refugees
in Jena Forest.
We protest the insecurity caused by the internal administration and
the security agents in the camp. We protest the inhuman treatment of
refugees in Jena Forest.
We, the refugees, are appealing for total protection of our human rights.
We demand for an open society without racism, discrimination, isolation
and social exclusion of refugees in Jena and Thüringen.
We demand the closure of Jena Forest for refugees against the isolation
and social exclusion of refugees.
We appeal to all progressive Germans, human rights activists and antiracist
activists to denounce the maltreatment of Constance Etchu and the refugees
in Jena Forest.
We, who had the civil courage to denounce the maltreatment we saw today,
demand for security, support and solidarity.
The security of refugees is unpredictable.
We came for security and protection and not for maltreatment.
Support the civil courage of refugees against discrimination and racism
